I’m currently training for the Brighton Marathon. Florence, New York and Snowdon are 3 I really want to run. I prefer endurance races but have completed many 5k, 10K Half Marathons and our local Roman Run (16 miles) and San Domenico race (20 miles). Running has helped me raised over £10,000 for local charities so far and I intend to increase it each year.

I started Phat Katz running club in 2012 because a group of friends wanted to get fit. It expanded and in 2013 we merged with Fortitude Running Group to become Merthyr Running Club. Running gives me energy and makes me feel so alive and motivated I want everyone to experience it. That’s want drives me to encourage others to join our club and set new goals. Training is tough but there is no better feeling that crossing the finishing line. Seeing our new beginners come from not running up the stairs to completing a Half Marathon in 6 months is the most rewarding part of coaching.

This year my challenge is to complete Ironman Wales along with other short distance triathlons.
